The Oren 14' x 8' Viscount Log Cabin is a high quality, versatile and spacious contemporary garden building ideal for an outdoor gym, extra bedroom or work area. This cabin features the newest modern touches, with joiner-made timber double doors and windows, allowing a lot of natural light into the room. These windows and doors have toughened double glazed glass for extra insulation and security.
Joiner Made Doors and Windows - Our Oren Log Cabin comes complete with joiner made Double Doors and Windows. All glass is both toughened and double-glazed-perfect.
High Security - Not only is there the toughened double glazing, but there is a 3 lever mortice lock on all doors and windows. Whether you plan to use the log cabin for storage, or for a home office, this extra secure space will provide that additional peace of mind.
EPDM Roof Covering - With 50-year life expectancy the roof of this log cabin is designed to protect the building from all kinds of weather. It has an innovative EPDM rubber roofing system that comes with a 50-year life expectancy. This includes a gutter edge drip plate to allow rainwater to run off and away from the sides of the log cabin
Under 2.5m - All cabins are under 2.5m to the ridge, allowing you to bypass most planning permission restrictions that may apply to residential builds. There are extra deep 145mm roof purlins to ensure the strength and rigidity aren’t compromised by the reduced height.
High Grade Timber - The walls of the log cabin are 28mm thick made from high grade, responsibly sourced, Scandinavian Timber. No inferior log cabin timber profiles are used whatsoever such as lower quality 19mm and 22mm thick log cabins, or cabins built with OSB or chipboard floors and roofs. The floor and roofs are comprised of tongue & groove boards to ensure the log cabin is robust and durable. timber bearers are provided to lift the log cabin off the ground to further protect the floor.
Contemporary Touches - Attractive features such as the external sills are on all windows, and the ‘easy access’ aluminium low threshold sills on the doors add to the functionality of your building, as well as the aesthetic. Further attention to detail is reflected in the Burford style skirting which provides the perfect finish to the inside of the log cabin.
Innovative Self-Assembly - Our 28mm, high grade interlocking logs are enhanced by our innovative notching system which allows you to build your cabin with confidence, knowing everything fits tightly and is where it should be. Fixings and instructions are included to allow you to build the cabin yourself, as well as providing additional telephone/email support and instructional installation videos if required.
Sustainable - We give back! Timber is responsibly sourced from suppliers and forests carefully selected using a thorough and comprehensive appraisal process. Only timber suppliers are used who are themselves Certified sustained and chain of custody certification traces the wood from forest to distribution to us, are checked regularly.
This product is Untreated. It is ESSENTIAL that you treat the garden building with a high quality, spirit-based, timber preservative immediately after assembly in order to activate any stated guarantee. This treatment will protect the timber from weathering and will need to be repeated accordingly in relation to manufacturer’s instructions.
We aim to deliver all products as soon as possible. Please check individual product pages for delivery lead times and services associated with each product in your order. Below is an outline of the services we offer on Oren buildings.
Standard Delivery
All our products include Free Delivery to most UK Mainland postcodes. Other areas may incur a delivery charge, this will be clarified during the checkout process. Typically areas the incur additional charges are, but not limited to, remote areas of Scotland, Isle of White & Guernsey. We will contact you prior to delivery to agree a suitable delivery date.
Providing you have given a mobile number, when the item is scanned onto a delivery vehicle you may be sent a text from the courier – please note the item can be scanned onto a vehicle at any point throughout the day (it could be on a morning run or an afternoon run). While every effort is made to provide this tracking information, it is not a guaranteed service.
The Log Cabin is delivered kerbside, on a pallet – the delivery is moved with a pallet truck. Where the delivery is made is down to the delivery driver’s discretion (although they are usually very helpful). Delivery is contactless and so the driver cannot take the shed off the pallet and move it for you.
Once delivered, please check your order against the component list prior to installation.
Lead times for all standard services are stated at the top of the page and may be extended depending on location and circumstances. Upgraded services may also result in a longer lead time.
Delivery FAQ
Do I need to be home for my Delivery?
Yes, you do need to be home for your delivery unless prior agreement has been made with the manufacturer via email. We do request that the driver contacts you before arriving as well, this will be at their discretion. Our delivery drivers are NOT allowed to place your log cabin in your back gardens even if the gate is left open.
Will I need to help my delivery driver?
Our drivers DO NOT need your help during a delivery. They will not ask for your help and they can manage all the items themselves. We are not insured to cover any customer injuries and therefore we ask you NOT to help or try and help our drivers while they make a delivery.
My house has a restricted access, what do I do?
Our drivers are only contracted to provide kerbside drop offs and deliveries. They will NOT bring any of our orders through your home. A driver may offer to take an order further; for instance a back garden but this is ONLY at their own discretion. Please be aware the pallet truck cannot go up or down stairs or across gravel or grass therefore, depending on access the driver will be unable to take it much further than the pavement / driveway. If you have any questions about access or you live in a restricted access zone please contact us prior to ordering.
My Order Has Not Been Delivered, What Should I Do?
We deliver between 8am and 6pm. If your order has not been delivered when expected please click here.
Please Note: Additional items such as paint, furniture or storage units may be delivered separately on a different day to your main product. If you have ordered multiple products in one order then you are likely to receive multiple deliveries.
