The Othello Bespoke Insulated Garden Room is our most popular and best-selling garden room. The stylish and contemporary design will suit any garden or other outdoor location. All Bards garden buildings are made to the highest standards and you can customise the building in a number of ways to make the design your own.
This version of the Othello is clad in painted 12mm shiplap tongue and groove boards, available in your choice of colour. Unlike some other retailers, we supply the garden room fully insulated as standard (floor, walls & roof). We also include the below with our standard packages:
- Concealed Nailing, No visible nail holes on the cladding for a flawless finish.
- UPVC Double Doors (4' - 123.3 x 200.8cm WxH)
- 2 x UPVC Full Length Fixed Casement Windows at the front of the building. (T15 - 79.5 x 200.8cm WxH)
- 1 x UPVC Full Length, Top Opening Casement Window for the side of the building. (T10LEA - 58.5 x 200.8cm WxH)
- 9mm vertically grooved and primed MDF board internal cladding.
- Long lasting EPDM rubber roof covering
- Additional 8mm laminated flooring with 3mm underlay. Choice of Laminate Colours
We offer plenty of alternative window and door options that are viewable in the supporting documentation and are available on a POA basis. The doors come in both Aluminum or UPVC. The UPVC doors and windows are available in 4 different colours and are maintenance-free! Please note that all the internals of the UPVC options are White. High specification joinery is utilised on all mortise and tennon doors and windows, which feature draught-proofed sealed units.

The Othello conforms to suit most height planning regulations, however, we strongly advise you to check with your local authority. All doors comply with insurance requirements regarding locking.
The Othello building range is available in a number of sizes to suit our customer's needs, this includes L-Shaped buildings. Do request any unlisted size please contact us for a custom quote.
This is a fully bespoke building and therefore subject to bespoke retail Terms & Conditions.
Our Wall Insulation Consists of:
- External Cladding -12mm painted tongue and groove cladding
- Air Gap - 12mm Air gap between external cladding and external lining
- External Lining - High quality breather membrane
- Insulation - 50mm Mineral wool insulation
- Internal Cladding - 9mm vertically grooved and primed MDF board
Our Floor Insulation Consists of:
- 18mm tongue & groove matchboard floor boards
- Insulation - 40mm Sheet insulation
- Additional 8mm laminated flooring with 3mm underlay
Our Roof Insulation Consists of:
- EPDM Firestone rubber roofing, one sheet system, mechanically attached
- Boarded Roof Frame
- External Lining - High quality breather membrane
- Insulation - 50mm Mineral wool insulation
- Internal Cladding - 9mm vertically grooved and primed MDF board
Electric - If you require electricity in your building we recommend an Electrician (of your choice) is on-site for approx. an hour on the day of fitting to put the first fix in, to return when the building is completed to do the final fix. We do not supply or fit any electric sockets or lighting as part of our service.
We aim to deliver all products as soon as possible. Please check individual product pages for delivery lead times and services associated with each product in your order. Below is an outline of the services we offer on all Bards Garden Buildings.
Standard Delivery & Installation Service
For all Bards Garden Buildings orders our delivery team will contact you via telephone to arrange a suitable delivery date and confirm all the details of your order. Delivery and Installation will take place on the same day. Installs can take longer than one day and this will be communicated to you before dates are confirmed.
Lead times for all delivery services are stated at the top of the page and may be extended depending on location and circumstances. If you are having a concrete base installed by ourselves then you will be contacted separately in order to ensure the base is installed and ready for your building to be delivered.
Delivery FAQ
Can I make amendments to my building after ordering?
Bards buildings are bespoke and made to order. Due to the various custom elements, we can only accept amendments to orders 14 working days before delivery. You may cancel any Bards order free of charge, anytime before booking delivery. After booking a delivery date, cancellation fees may be charged. Please see our t's & c's for more information.
Do I need to be home for my Delivery?
Due to the nature of these buildings and services we advise you to be present on the day to ensure the build goes according to plan. Our installers would also need access to the location of the build in order to begin construction. If you are not able to be in for any reason or wish to change your delivery date, please inform our customer service team at least 14 days before your delivery date to avoid any postponement fees.
Will I need to help my delivery driver?
Our drivers DO NOT need your help during a delivery or installation. They will not ask for your help and they can manage all the items themselves. We are not insured to cover any customer injuries and therefore we ask you NOT to help or try and help our drivers while they make a delivery.
My house has restricted access, what do I do?
Our installers will need access to the location of the build in order to begin construction. If there are any issues getting a delivery vehicle to your property or desired building location, please inform the install team before your delivery day.
Please Note: Additional items such as paint, furniture or storage units may be delivered separately on a different day to your main product. If you have ordered multiple products in one order then you are likely to receive multiple deliveries.
